About Emma

My Journey

After years of debilitating pain, I was diagnosed with severe Crohn’s Disease at 13 years old. I went through many trials and many errors of medications and treatments, some resulting in severe allergic reactions. I felt lonely, misunderstood and embarrassed.

I started receiving regular massages and always felt a pull towards a career in the field. I knew I needed to choose schooling and a career that would support me to heal and I also knew I wanted to support and nurture others.

Now, with a practice focussed on abdominal health, utilizing Maya Abdominal massage and other incredible modalities, it feels so full circle to be helping others in ways I was, or wanted to be, when I was going through the roughest time of my life.

I have a deep interest in holistic wellness and the body’s natural ability to heal. I believe that massage is more than just bodywork. It’s a powerful way to reconnect with your body and support your overall well-being.

Specialties & Training

I graduated with honours from the 2200 hour Massage Therapy Program at MH Vicars in 2017. Since then my love of learning and natural curiosity have continued to guide me. I have taken many courses both locally in and around Edmonton, online as well as, Oregon, Washington and Taos, New Mexico. I love learning from other cultures, people and experiences to integrate and embody the teachings and learnings.

My practice is focussed on:

• Maya Abdominal Massage

• Somassage®

• Access Bars®

Encouraging greater communication and connection between your body’s systems.

My Approach

I believe that you know your body best and that healing and wellness happen through connection. Connection to your body, your experiences, and the support that feels aligned for you. My role is to listen, guide and work with you to feel your best.

I also believe there needs to be more play, joy and laughter in our healing process. Release can take many different forms, sometimes it’s deep breaths, tears, weird movements, and my personal favourite— a really good belly laugh. Our bodies our so intelligent and know exactly what to do when given support and space to do so.

Whether you’re seeking relief from chronic issues or simply want to connect with your body in a new way. My goal is to support you in feeling balanced, restored, and at ease.

I listen to where you’re at and utilize tools and practices and intuition to support your wellbeing as a whole.
